Lead Exposure

If The Company has any reason to believe that a worker performing the task may be exposed to lead in excess
of the PEL, until The Company performs a worker exposure assessment and documents that the worker's lead
exposure is not above the PEL The Company shall treat the worker as if the worker were exposed above the PEL
and shall implement worker protective measures.
When The Company performs a worker exposure assessment and documents that the worker performing a task
ŝƐŶŽƚĞdžƉŽƐĞĚŵŽƌĞƚŚĂŶϱϬϬʅŐͬŵϯ͕dŚĞŽŵƉĂŶLJƐŚĂůůƚƌĞĂƚƚŚĞworker as if the worker were exposed to lead
ŵŽƌĞƚŚĂŶϱϬϬʅŐͬŵϯĂŶĚƐŚĂůůŝŵƉůĞŵĞŶƚworker protective measures. If The Company does establish that the
worker ŝƐĞdžƉŽƐĞĚƚŽůĞǀĞůƐŽĨůĞĂĚďĞůŽǁϱϬϬʅŐͬŵϯ͕dŚĞŽŵƉĂŶLJŵĂLJƉƌŽǀŝĚĞƚŚĞĞdžƉŽƐĞĚworker with the
appropriate respirator prescribed for such use at such lower exposures.
The tasks covered by this requirement are:

Using lead containing mortar; lead burning
Where lead containing coatings or paint are present:

Rivet busting
Power tool cleaning without dust collection systems
Cleanup activities where dry expendable abrasives are used
Abrasive blasting enclosure movement and removal
Once The Company performs a worker exposure assessment and documents that the worker performing the
tasks is not exposed to lead ŝŶĞdžĐĞƐƐŽĨϮ͕ϱϬϬʅŐͬŵϯ;ϱϬпW>Ϳ͕dŚĞŽŵƉĂŶLJƐŚĂůůƚƌĞĂƚƚŚĞworker as if the
worker ǁĞƌĞĞdžƉŽƐĞĚƚŽůĞĂĚŝŶĞdžĐĞƐƐŽĨϮ͕ϱϬϬʅŐͬŵϯĂŶĚƐŚĂůůŝŵƉůĞŵĞŶƚworker protective measures. If The
Company does establish that the worker is exposed to levels of lead ďĞůŽǁϮ͕ϱϬϬʅŐͬŵϯ͕dŚĞŽŵƉĂŶLJŵĂLJ
provide the exposed worker with the appropriate respirator prescribed for use at such lower exposures.

shall provide to worker’s protection as follows:

Biological monitoring to consist of blood sampling and analysis for lead and zinc protoporphyrin
levels
