Providing necessary allocations for accident prevention requirements in every
estimate and/or bid for contract. This will include all items necessary for the
protection of teammates, equipment, and the public.
Including and enforcing accident prevention requirements in all work
subcontracted to and/or performed by others.
2.02 SAFETY COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Lead Safety Officer and his designated representatives assume the responsibility for
coordinating the safety activities and administering this safety program. These
Responsibilities Include:
x Coordinate all Loss Control activities in the workplace and vehicle operations.
x Act as liaison between management and various outside safety agencies
including State and Federal inspectors and safety representatives of other
tradespeople, the client, and the public.
x Review plans and specifications to determine job conditions which affect safety
and health. Arrange job planning and layout meetings between project
managers and/or superintendents, supervisors and all subcontractors to
organize and pre-plan the job so that all work can proceed in a safe manner.
x Review the safety program with subcontractors and outline their role.
x Enforce compliance during and after the job via post-job safety performance
reviews.
x Ensure all subcontractors will be pre-qualified by reviewing their safety
programs, safety training documents, and safety statistics. Certain metrics that
will be considered are TRIR, EMR, DART, and Fatality Rate.
x Establish minimum safe standards, rules, and regulations.
x Review supervisor reports of accidents and see that recommendations are acted
upon. Maintain a file of these reports for analysis in the TEAMWRKX
Construction, Inc. office.
x Review workplace inspection reports and see that the required corrective action
has been taken. Maintain a file of these reports for analysis in the TEAMWRKX
Construction, Inc. office.
x Establish required training programs for teammates and supervisors, including
conducting regular safety meetings for all teammates. OSHA-30 is an example
of this.
x Establish job safety communication between management, supervisors,
teammates, and subcontractors and affected public. Review safety suggestions
submitted; ensure action has been taken where required, and maintain a file of
the suggestions for analysis in the TEAMWRKX Construction, Inc. office.
x Maintain required information and interest sustaining items, such as posting
notices, emergency numbers, and safety posters and guidelines at each job site.
