Ensure that Certificates of Insurance are filed for all subcontractors and updated
on a regular basis.
2.03 SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the supervisor are the key to accident prevention. The supervisor also has a
key role in creating and maintaining interest in the company Injury and Illness Prevention
Program, as well as this Safety Manual.
These Responsibilities Include:
x Executing all direction provided by the Chief Safety Officer.
x Review management’s position on safety with all teammates.
x Instruct each new Teammate on both general safety rules and specific safety
rules regarding their particular job. Ensure that all teammates, tradespeople,
and affected public know how to obtain medical assistance in the event of injury.
x Provide safe and clean/sanitary tools and equipment. Ensure that personal
protective equipment is issued and used as required. When necessary, provide
instruction or training in care and use of personal protective equipment, such as
using PPE that fits well and performs its scope as described by the manufacturer.
x Conduct "toolbox" safety meetings every week. Furnish reports of these
meetings to the Safety Coordinator.
x Review all Teammate accidents. Complete a "Supervisor Report of Injury"
investigation form and furnish a copy of the report to the Safety Coordinator. If
the accident occurred due to an unsafe condition, do not allow work to continue
until the unsafe condition has been corrected.
x Check the workplace daily to ensure that housekeeping and other potential
accident producing conditions are being controlled. Complete a written
workplace inspection report every week and furnish a copy of the inspection
report to the Safety Coordinator.
x Attend management/supervisor meetings as required.
x Maintain fully stocked first aid kits, vehicle safety kits, and earthquake kits via
monthly inspections.
2.04 TEAMMATE RESPONSIBILITIES
The effectiveness of our Injury and Illness Prevention Program depends upon the
participation and cooperation of ALL teammates of TEAMWRKX Construction, Inc.
Your Basic Responsibilities Include:
x Executing all direction provided by the Chief Safety Officer and Supervisors.
x Follow safety and health procedures and recognize and report hazards
immediately to your supervisor; there will be no reprisal for reporting hazards
to your supervisor.
